HIGH PILE 001

The High Pile Collection carries the studio’s language beyond lighting and into sculptural objects. Conceived as a counterpoint to the Uni Collection’s tightly woven forms, these pieces open into loose, looping textures that suggest movement and softness. Each work is digitally modeled by the artist and brought to life in ceramic clay through additive printing techniques, allowing the form to emerge with a natural sense of fluidity and rhythm. Hand-applied glazes and kiln firing give the material depth and permanence, while final contours are shaped and refined by hand in the studio.

High Pile 001 is a compact, oval-bodied vessel that pairs a soft silhouette with a densely textured surface. Its form recalls coiled textile, yet is realized in ceramic through layer-by-layer additive printing. In this dialogue between hand and machine, the steady rhythm of printing becomes a sculptural performance.

Every MIOS piece is made to order and inherently one of a kind. Variations in form, texture, and glaze are natural to the ceramic process and part of what makes each work unique. No two pieces are identical, and these distinctions are celebrated as central to MIOS’s character.
