Every MIOS piece is made to order and one of a kind. Variations in form, texture, and glaze are natural to the ceramic process and part of what makes each work unique. No two pieces are identical, and these distinctions are celebrated as part of MIOS’s character. All sales are final.

Rarities

Rarities are one-of-a-kind studio works available exactly as shown on the site and are ready to ship. These pieces are unique explorations in material and form, created outside the boundaries of our core collections. Each Rarity is photographed and listed individually; the piece you see is the piece you will receive. All sales are final.

Custom Orders

We also accept custom requests and can provide quotes for personalized commissions. Customizations may include glaze finish, sizing adjustments, or other design details. Please reach out to discuss your project and we’ll guide you through the process. All sales are final.

Studio Visits

If you would like to see the work before purchasing, we invite you to schedule a visit to our Brooklyn studio or arrange a private virtual viewing.

Care

MIOS pieces are designed to be lived with and treasured. Each work is made in ceramic, finished by hand, and requires gentle care to preserve its surface and integrity over time.

• Ceramic Surfaces: Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that may scratch or dull the glaze.
• Glazes: Subtle shifts in tone and finish are natural to the ceramic process. Do not expose glazed surfaces to prolonged moisture.
• Lighting Components: For lamps, use the recommended bulb type and wattage. Always unplug before cleaning.
• Glass Domes: Clean with a microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh or ammonia-based cleaners that may affect the finish.
• Placement: Place pieces on stable surfaces, away from direct impact or sudden temperature changes. Though durable, ceramics remain fragile if mishandled.

Each MIOS object is made to endure as both a functional design and a sculptural work. With proper care, these pieces will retain their distinct presence for years to come.

Shipping

Domestic and international delivery is available. Prices are exclusive of packing and shipping fees, which are calculated separately.

• Domestic Orders: Standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
• International Orders: Clients are responsible for additional shipping costs, customs duties, and import fees.

All items are carefully packed and inspected prior to shipment to ensure safe arrival.

Damages

In the rare event that a piece is damaged during transit, please notify us within 5 business days of delivery. We require photographs of the packaging and the item so we can assist with your claim.

Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. If an order is returned due to incorrect address information, re-shipment fees may apply.
