Sales Policy
All MIOS pieces are made to order and crafted specifically for each client. For this reason, all sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed.
We encourage clients to review product details carefully and to contact us with any questions prior to purchase. We are happy to provide additional information, photographs, or guidance to help you make an informed decision.
Custom Orders
We welcome custom requests and provide quotes for personalized commissions. Customizations may include glaze finishes, size adjustments, or other design details. Please contact us to discuss your project and we will guide you through the process.
As with all MIOS products, custom orders are final sale.
Studio Visits
We invite clients to experience the work in person before purchasing. Studio visits are available by appointment, and private virtual viewings can also be arranged. Please contact us to schedule a visit.
Care & Maintenance
MIOS pieces are designed to be lived with and treasured. Each work is crafted in ceramic and finished by hand, and requires gentle care to preserve its surface and integrity over time.
Ceramic Surfaces:
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that may scratch or dull the glaze.
Glazes:
Subtle shifts in tone and finish are natural to the ceramic process. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh chemicals.
Lighting Components:
Use only the recommended bulb type and wattage. Always unplug lamps before cleaning or handling.
Glass Domes:
Clean with a microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh or ammonia-based cleaners that may affect the surface.
Placement:
Place pieces on stable surfaces, away from direct impact or sudden temperature changes. While durable, ceramics can be fragile if mishandled.
With proper care, MIOS works are designed to retain their beauty and presence for many years.
Shipping & Delivery
All MIOS works are made to order. Lead times vary by product and are listed on each product page. Shipping or delivery begins once your piece has been completed in the studio.
Local Delivery – NYC (5 Boroughs):
Complimentary local delivery is available. We will contact you to schedule delivery once your piece is ready. Signature is required.
UPS Ground or 2nd Day Air (Domestic):
Orders ship after the stated lead time. Shipments are fully insured and require signature upon delivery.
UPS Worldwide Express (International):
Orders ship after the stated lead time. Customers are responsible for all duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees, which are collected by the carrier prior to delivery.
White-Glove Courier (Select Cities):
Scheduled, hand-carried delivery with signature handoff. Pricing is quoted separately after purchase. We will contact you directly to arrange details and provide a quote.
Packaging:
All items are carefully inspected, wrapped, and packed to ensure safe arrival.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details at checkout. If an order is returned due to incorrect address information, additional re-shipment fees may apply.
Made in New York
All MIOS pieces are designed, produced, and finished in our New York studio. From digital modeling to additive printing, glazing, firing, and final assembly, each step is completed in-house with close care and oversight.
Warranty
In the rare event that a piece is damaged during transit, please notify us within 5 business days of delivery. We require photographs of both the packaging and the damaged item in order to assist with your claim and coordinate next steps.
MIOS products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, installation, or normal material variation. Repairs or replacements are provided at MIOS’s discretion.
